Tyrese Gibson is in jail for failing to pay court-ordered child support. The “1992” star’s arrest came just a day after he warned his followers that he could be jailed as part of his legal battle with his ex-wife. Samantha Lee.

Accordingly TMZwho delivered the news, the 45-year-old actor was arrested for contempt of court, handcuffed and escorted out of the Fulton County courtroom on Monday (September 9) after he Judge Kevin M. Farmer in April 2023.

As the outlet reported, the “Black and Blue” actor could avoid prison time if he pays $73,000 – including $7,500 for Samantha’s legal fees.

Tyrese had predicted his arrest in a now-deleted Instagram post uploaded on Sunday (September 8). In the caption, the “Baby Boy” star accused his ex-wife’s legal team of plotting against him, claiming that her lawyers, Adam Gleklen And William Alexander“are best friends” with Judge Farmer.

In a 15-minute video posted on Instagram, Gibson explained that while he did not see the situation as a “man versus woman” issue, he felt his gender influenced the legal proceedings.

“If you were born a man, you walk into a courtroom and clearly understand that there is a preset menu that says, ‘You were born a man, f–k you.’ That’s what the preset menu says,” Gibson explained on IG.

The outlet noted that the actor will pay the remaining $73,000 and will eventually be released.

Tyrese and Lee married in 2017 and had their daughter Soraya a year later. In December 2020, the couple announced their separation and divorce.
