Ty Majeski wins Truck Series race in Richmond

Luck may not have been on Ty Majeski’s side Saturday night, but the Seymour, Wisconsin native fought his way through the field after a penalty and ultimately defeated several challengers to win his second consecutive Truck Series race.

On a late restart, it was Majeski who took the lead from third place in a corner, and the No. 98 Ford F-150 still had enough speed to last until the final run of the race.

The win is Majeski’s second of the 2024 season and the fifth of his Truck Series career.

Polesitter Christian Eckes finished second, with Taylor Gray, Grant Enfinger and Layne Riggs completing the top five. Tyler Ankrum and Ben Rhodes finished sixth and seventh, respectively, with Daniel Dye, Ty Dillon and Connor Hall completing the top 10.

With his eighth-place finish, Dye secured the 10th and final spot in the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series playoffs ahead of Tanner Gray, who finished 12th after a late restart. Dye is the first driver in Truck Series history to force his way into the playoffs in the regular-season finale after entering the race outside of the postseason.

Other notable finishers from Saturday’s race include Matt Crafton in 15th place, Corey Heim in 16th place, Rajah Caruth in 17th place, Stewart Friesen in 25th place and Connor Zilisch in 29th place.

The next Truck Series race is the opening race of the Truck Series Playoffs on August 25 at the Milwaukee Mile. The LiUNA! 175 will tip off just after 4 p.m. ET on August 25 and will be broadcast on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
