Two new social media channels launched for Manchester City Women

Manchester City today launched two new social media channels, on Instagram and TikTok, dedicated to Manchester City Women.

As part of the launch, Manchester City Women’s existing matchday account has also been updated to X.

This way, fans can now get even closer to the team and players, as tailored and engaging content is published on the channels every day.

In particular, fans will benefit from exclusive access to our first ever pre-season visit to Australia as we compete in the Perth International Football Cup.

By expanding our offering, we want to provide fans with even more content on a wider range of platforms, helping them interact with the team in the way that works best for them.

The new channels complement the Club’s existing content offering on our integrated social media channels, which continue to regularly showcase content from our women’s team, as well as our men’s, women’s and academy teams, to our more than 186 million fans around the world.

Commenting on the launch of the new channels, Gavin Johnson, Media Director at City Football Group, said: “We are delighted to launch two dedicated women’s channels on Instagram and TikTok.

“Not only does this further strengthen our existing integrated content offering as a club, but it also demonstrates our ability to create bespoke content for our fans around the world.”

In addition, Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director of Manchester City Women, added: “We are delighted to launch our women’s channels today, which will allow our fans to interact more regularly with content from our women’s teams.”

“This coincides with a very exciting time for the Club with our first ever pre-season tour to Australia later this month and Champions League football being played at the Joie Stadium.

“It’s great to give our fans a behind-the-scenes look at our journey as we continue to grow on and off the field.”
