No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama meet again. The stakes are different than last year, but the drama is always palpable when these two SEC football powerhouses play.

This latest matchup between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide is the main attraction of Week 5 of the college football season, although Saturday’s schedule includes several other exciting games across the country such as Illinois-Penn State and Wisconsin-USC in the Big Ten, Oklahoma State – Kansas State in the Big 12 and Louisville-Notre Dame in non-conference play. In total, 20 of the 25 teams ranked in this week’s U.S. LBM Coaches Poll will be in action.

However, none carry the weight that this Alabama-Georgia clash does. Both teams are once again undefeated and appear to be contenders for the national championship. Georgia picked up a comfortable win over Clemson to start the year and upset Kentucky in its SEC opener before a bye last week. Alabama followed a less impressive win over South Florida with an encouraging road performance in a 42-10 win at Wisconsin in Week 4.

Of course, Alabama kept Georgia out of the College Football Playoff last season when it won the 2023 SEC Championship Game. But the Crimson Tide did it with Nick Saban as coach. Now Kalen DeBoer is getting his first taste of this rivalry, which has grown in prestige with Saban at Alabama and coach Kirby Smart at Georgia.

Here is the complete Football Bowl Subdivision schedule for Saturday, September 28, in Week 5 of the 2024 college football season, including game times and ways to watch:
