CBS News presents the vice presidential debate between Senator JD Vance and Governor Tim Walz on Tuesday (October 1st).
Both candidates have accepted the invitation and the debate will be broadcast live from New York City that same evening.
The problem is that several TV shows on different channels were scheduled to premiere on October 1st. Now we’re learning about the changes that will result.

Fox – SCHEDULE CHANGE CONFIRMED
Season 2 of the fan-favorite anthology series will start on October 1, 2024 Accused should have premiere.
According to TV Line, Fox is pushing back the premiere of the series’ second season to Tuesday (October 8) at 8 p.m. ET.
But the second episode of Murder in a small town, Kristin Kreuk‘s new show is still available to watch this evening. The series will premiere on September 24th and its second episode will air on October 1st at 8pm, which will lead into the debate at 9am.
NBC – SCHEDULE CHANGE CONFIRMED
The irrational The second season was scheduled to premiere on Tuesday (October 1) at 10 p.m. ET, but will now air on Tuesday (October 8) at 10 p.m. ET instead.
ABC – TIMETABLE CHANGE UNCLEAR
A new episode of Dancing with the stars is scheduled to air on ABC on Tuesday (October 1). It is currently unclear whether there will be any programming changes.
The CW – NO CHANGE IN SCHEDULE
The CW is now broadcasting a live episode of WWE NXT on Tuesday (October 1) and is in competition with the debate.
