The official website for the anime adaptation of Tamiki Wakaki‘S 365 days until the wedding (Kekkon Surutte, Hontō Desu ka?: 365 days until the wedding) manga announced the anime’s theme songs and October 3 release date on Friday. HoneyWorks Performance Subscribe play the opening song “Kirakira” (Sparkling) and GOHOBI plays the end credits song “Tsumari wa” (In Short).

The anime will play the main role Saori Hayami as Rika Honjoji and Kentaro Kumagai as Takuya Ohara.

Hiroshi Ikehata (FLCL Progressive, Dark Gathering) directs the anime Ashi Production. Kazuho Hyodo (Kiratto Pri☆Chan, TONIKAWA: Overjoyed for you) is responsible for the scripts of the series and Shuji Maruyama (Isekai Cheat Mage, Helck) is responsible for the design of the characters. Avoid Narita And Yusuke Seo compose the music at Pony Canyon. Ryosuke Naya is sound director at Studio Mausu.

Takuya and Rika work at a travel agency in Tokyo. They’re both single, but that doesn’t bother them because they’re introverts with fulfilling lives at home. Unfortunately, their employer is now hiring for an office in Siberia, and unmarried employees are considered first. Desperate to avoid being transferred, Rika comes to Takuya with an idea: if they pretend to get married in a year, they can stay in Tokyo. The only problem is that the two barely know each other! If these two quiet colleagues “fake” a relationship, will it become something real?

Wakaki published the manga in Shogakukan‘S Weekly Big Comic Spirits Magazine in March 2020. The manga ended with its 11th volume in July 2023.

The manga inspired a live-action series adaptation that premiered in October 2022.
