Trump Zuckerberg: Trump claims Mark Zuckerberg told him: “I can’t vote for a Democrat”; Meta denies

Donald Trump had previously claimed that he had spoken to Mark Zuckerberg on the phone after the attack in Pennsylvania. Now Trump claimed that Zuckerberg had told him that he could not vote for a Democrat in this election. “Mark Zuckerberg called and said, ‘I’ve never supported a Republican, but there’s no way I can vote for a Democrat in this election,'” Trump told New York Magazine. “He’s a guy whose parents, all of them, were always Democrats. He said, ‘I’m never going to vote for the people who are running against you after seeing what you’ve done.'”
But Meta flatly denied this claim, saying Zuckerberg had publicly stated that he was not supporting anyone in this election and would continue to do so.
Zuckerberg reacted to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, saying that Trump’s fist in the air after being shot was the “sickest” thing he had ever seen. “To see Donald Trump stand up after being shot in the face and raise his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the sickest things I have ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg told Bloomberg.
“As an American, it’s hard in some ways not to be emotionally moved by that spirit and that fight, and I think that’s why a lot of people like the guy,” he said.
Zuckerberg came under fire after the attack for allegations of content moderation. He then admitted to being under pressure from the Biden-Harris administration during the Covid pandemic.
In 2021, Trump called Zuckerberg a criminal and claimed he and his wife influenced the 2020 election. “Mark Zuckerberg, a criminal in my opinion, gets to spend over $400 million and change the course of a presidential election, and nothing happens to Facebook,” Trump said at the time.
