Tree Thomas shares visual performances for his tracks “Ghost” and “Last Time” (Video)

Rising R&B/Hiphop artist Tree Thomas shares live performances of two songs from his growing catalog. The tracks in question, “Ghost” and “Last Time,” explore different stages of his life as he experiences emotional pain and trauma.

In the first part, “Ghost,” Tree is emotionally attached to a lover who is literally distant from him. From a glimmer of hope to the realization that the expected love is not reciprocated, Tree talks about the good memories in order not to go Down Under, while wishing that everything will be better. Lines like “You don’t even write back to me, we had fun, I don’t understand” shows how quickly and easily this mysterious lady played with his heart and abandoned him.

“Last Time” is a lovelorn song that describes the aftermath of a breakup and the lingering emotional pain Tree carries as he tries to find closure. Armed with his expressive, lilting cadence and distinctive tone, he pours his heart out in lines like “try to convince myself that I don’t need you, but fell when I realized that I bleed you/close my eyes at night and see you“. Overall, the celebratory theme is enhanced by Tree’s soaring melodies in the chorus as he summons the strength to leave the past behind and move on.
