Travis Kelce ‘comforted Taylor Swift on the phone for hours’ after police foiled suicide bombing at Eras Tour

Travis Kelce spent “hours” on the phone on Wednesday trying to comfort Taylor Swift when her Eras Tour concerts in Austria were canceled due to the threat of a terrorist attack.

A 19-year-old man and two younger teenagers were arrested. They are accused of planning a suicide attack on one of their three planned shows in Vienna. During a raid on a house, police found propaganda from the Islamic State.

Now a source from The Sun was quoted as saying: “Travis was very quick to get in touch with Taylor and spoke to her for a while to show her his support and see how she was feeling in this tense situation.”

“When he goes to sleep, he always has one of his phones next to him in case she wants to talk to him. And yesterday they actually spent some long hours on the phone because this is not an everyday situation and he always wants to be Taylor’s rock and her number one fan and supporter, no matter what.

“He was relieved that the concerts were cancelled, as this is the best decision in such a context. He even suggested flying to Austria to be there for her if she wanted, even if it was only for a day or two, but Taylor will continue working and focus on the next dates, with the concert in London to conclude the European part in the best possible way.”

Authorities said they also found Islamic State and Al-Qaeda material in the home of the second suspect, a 17-year-old man. The suspect, who has so far refused to speak, was employed a few days ago by an unnamed company that provided services at the concert venue.

The main suspect confessed to having planned the attack in July, the authorities said. Just a few weeks ago, the 19-year-old uploaded an oath of loyalty to the current leader of the terrorist militia Islamic State on the Internet.

The concert organizers in Vienna expected up to 30,000 spectators in front of the stadium and 65,000 fans with tickets for the three sold-out shows.

Kelce is currently in training camp with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, ahead of the new NFL season, which begins on September 5.

The three-time Super Bowl winner spent most of his offseason traveling with Swift, who toured the world as part of her hugely popular “Eras Tour,” visiting Australia, Singapore and several countries in Europe.

Swift has not yet publicly responded to the news. Her four-month European tour ends next week with five shows at Wembley Stadium in London from August 15 to 20. Promoters insist the show will go ahead regardless.

But last week, Swift spoke of her shock at the knife attack in Southport, England, during a dance class in honor of her music, in which three children were killed.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is still on my mind and I am in complete shock,” said the 34-year-old.

“I don’t know how to express my sympathy to these families. They were just little children at a dance class.”

Also on Friday, a man was arrested for threatening to shoot Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes as they attended a Morgan Wallen concert at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium.

Aaron Brown was arrested for a social media post shortly before the show began. Police noted that he had tweeted, “Mr. (redacted) at Arrowhead with his wife. If he brings out (redacted) or (redacted) I will fire the f***ing shot. F**k her! And also, f*** you, bitch!!’

Mahomes and Kelce accompanied the singer to the Arrowhead stage. Brown told police it was “a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake” and that he didn’t mean it. He was charged with making terroristic threats.
