The McDowell County Health Coalition will conclude its family-friendly outdoor “Summer THRIVE” series on Saturday with a special Touch-A-Truck event hosted by McDowell Tech in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot on Main Street in Marion.

The Summer THRIVE program began in June with weekly events at Marion Community Park, every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The grand Touch-A-Truck finale will also be held from 10 a.m. to noon, but in the bank parking lot.

This year marks the third year in a row that McDowell Tech has hosted the Touch-A-Truck Summer THRIVE finals. Last year’s event had nearly 500 participants in attendance.

JW Kelley, president of McDowell Technical Community College, shared his excitement about the event.
