Tori Spelling finds herself on DWTS, supported by the cast of 90210

We all know and love Tori Spelling as none other than Donna Martin from Beverly Hills, 90210But only yesterday evening, the now 51-year-old actress made her debut at Dancing with the stars and has received love from her former co-stars and friends. Amid Spelling’s difficult divorce and the tragic death of co-star Shannen Doherty, who 90210 Love couldn’t come fast enough.

Brian Austin Green’s sweet words of encouragement for Tori Spelling

Brian Austin Green, who played Spelling’s on-screen boyfriend David Silver, expressed his support for his lifelong friend. Green, who also appeared on the show in season 30 with his partner and now wife Sharna Burgess, shared a sweet message with Spelling while attending a 90210 Panel at the 90s Con.

“Stay focused and enjoy the experience,” he said. “It’s a seven-day job.”

Spelling revealed that she was hesitant to join the show and that it was Green who inspired her to just do it. She said that she had been offered the spot many times but “too scared to ever say yes.”

Brian Austin Green has known me all along since I got that call,” Spelling said. “The whole time I was thinking, ‘I don’t know if I should do it or not,’ but he said, ‘You’re going to be great, you have to do this.'”

Spelling also received love from her best friend on and off screen, Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor in 90210“I’m so happy for her, I think she’s going to do great,” Garth said of Spelling.

Gabrielle Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman, and Ian Ziering also had kind words to say as they attended 90s Con with Garth and Green. Carteris said she was very happy for her friend, while Ziering added, “We’re all rooting for her. Do the same.”

Tori Spelling talks about divorce in her podcast

Earlier this year, it was announced that Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott were separating and seeking divorce. However, Spelling stated on her podcast: wrong spelling that she had wanted to file for divorce for “about … 15 years.”

“We always say, ‘Hey, it’s been 18 years. It shouldn’t have taken 18 years,'” Spelling explained. “And I think he would say the same thing if he and I had had a really open and honest conversation. It would have been over a lot sooner.”

2024 was not only difficult because of her divorce. Spelling mourns the loss of 90210 Fellow actress and friend Doherty, who died on July 13, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer.

“How could I sum up someone I’ve known for 36 years?” Spelling said of her friend. “That’s more than half my life. (That was) someone I grew up with and was my best friend.”

Following the news of Doherty’s death, Spelling shared an Instagram story of the two, paying tribute to Doherty and their friendship. “I don’t have words for this yet… but WE knew and that’s what matters,” she wrote, adding several broken heart emojis.

Tori Spelling’s Dancing with the Stars Debut

Spelling performed her first dance on September 17 with DWTS Pro partner Pasha Pashkov, who had only kind words to say.
