Sandoval and his cover band Tom Sandoval and The Most Extras also went on tour in the summer. The places they traveled to included California, New York, Annapolis, Maryland and Boston, Massachusetts.

Meanwhile, James Kennedy is not a fan of Tom’s band. “Look, when it comes to cover bands… finding a fantastic cover band is an art to me,” James said. “I pray to God that this cover band isn’t Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras.” Harsh!

Well, maybe James is right. Distractify reported that Sandoval sang his heart out at a wedding in September 2024. And a guest at the wedding, @oatmilkflavouredvape, shared a clip on TikTok. “Scandoval sings at my friend’s wedding. An iconic watch,” the TikTok user wrote in an overlay of the clip.

In the video, Sandoval sings his version of Kings of Leon’s hit “Sex on Fire.” During the performance, Sandoval appears pitchy and almost speaks some of the lyrics. And the frontman was heavily criticized in the comments section.

“Wow, he sounds terrible,” one user said. Another commented: “He literally thinks he’s the main character.” A third user explained: “Him being a wedding singer while Ariana (Madix) was on Broadway twice is really just… *chef’s kiss*.”

Some users wondered if the bride and groom had hired the band to play. “I hope they didn’t pay for this. Get your money back,” one TikTok user wrote with a crying emoji. And finally, one user explained. “He would have paid better to perform than for people to pay him.” Oof.

Well, Sandoval and his band seem to have a following, so perhaps he had a “particularly” bad night. Or maybe being a wedding singer isn’t his thing. However, he seems to have perfected being a scandal magnet.
