Tim Curry returns to the big screen in new horror film stream

One of the most popular actors of all generations, Tim Curry, returns to the big screen for the horror film Electricitywhich opens in selected cinemas today. Curry rose to fame in the 1970s thanks to his portrayal of Dr. Frank N. Furter in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Showand contributed to people’s fear of clowns by playing the dancing clown Pennywise in the 1990 television adaptation of Stephen King’s novel. ITHe hasn’t appeared in a feature film since 2010. Burke & Harealthough he has since continued to lend his voice to a number of projects, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars.




According to Variety, Curry will appear in Electricitythe new horror film from writer and director Michael Leavy. The director released a statement about the surprise casting announcement, saying it was difficult to keep it a secret.

“It’s been really hard to keep this secret and contain our excitement, especially for such a long period of time. We are so happy and thrilled to bring Tim back to theaters and back to the big screen! His charm always shines and shines through everything he does and we are so honored to have him as a part of Stream.”

Leavy went on to say that working with the legendary actor has been a dream of his for some time. Curry’s last live-action appearance was the 2016 TV musical. The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s travel back in time againwhich served as both an homage and a remake of the original. Leavy is just happy to bring Curry back to theaters and hopes everyone will enjoy it. Electricity the way it was meant to be seen: with a crowd of noisy horror fans.

“He’s someone I personally idolized growing up, and it’s one of the highlights of my life to be able to work with him, especially on a project that means so much to me. We can’t wait for fans to sit back and enjoy our film in theaters, hopefully with a huge crowd having fun together! This is how horror films are meant to be seen and enjoyed. Stream is here to entertain!”



Stream brings together a number of horror icons

In addition to Curry, Leavy has assembled an all-star cast for his latest horror film, featuring a number of horror icons, including Dee Wallace (The howling), Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Felissa Rose (Overnight camp), Danielle Harris (Halloween Franchise) and Daniel Roebuck (The Devil’s Outcasts). Produced by the same team that brings fans the Terrorbringer Franchise, Electricity is about a family that is terrorized by four murderers while they are just enjoying a nice vacation. The Keenan family’s simple weekend getaway turns into a truly unforgettable vacation when four deranged killers, playing a sadistic game, seal off their hotel and compete to see who can commit the most creative murder of all the guests.


We were already excited for this film because it featured so many horror greats, but with Curry as a new cast member, we’re even more excited to see it. Electricity on the big screen.
