Tim Curry appears in his first live action film in over a decade, and it’s a horror film
Tim Curry was considered a screen legend who knew how to make eyes light up, with Curry’s best performances including ES, Legend, And The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to name just a few. Unfortunately, the British actor’s live-action roles were interrupted when he suffered a stroke in 2012, which left him wheelchair-bound and only allowed him to work as a voice actor. Over a decade later, there is good news: Curry is returning to the screen, and it is a upcoming horror film!
Tim Curry’s best known horror credit is undoubtedly the great musical horror comedy film The Rocky Horror Picture Show to play the “cute transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania” Frank-N-Furter. One can also not forget when he Cast of the miniseries IT as the clown-looking evil creature Pennywise.
After almost 50 years Rocky Horror Picture Showand over a decade since Tim Curry’s last live-action role in Burke & Whorethe actor/singer returns to his horror roots in slasher horror Electricity. Author, director and producer Michael Leavy told diversity What a dream it was to have the experienced actor as part of his project:

I can fully understand Michael Leavy’s excitement to have the acclaimed Tim Curry be part of his project. One of the many things that has made the Emmy winner such an outstanding actor is his ability to fully commit to a unique role. Even in non-horror films like Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Annie, And Muppet – Treasure Island, he still managed to make his roles exciting yet memorable. I imagine many Curry fans are excited to see what the Tony nominee will bring to the screen after more than a decade.
Since The Three Musketeers Actor suffered a stroke, he is now concentrating more on voice acting. His memorable animation roles include his Emmy-winning role as Captain Hook for Peter Pan and the Pirates and played Nigel Thornberry in the classic Nicktoon The wild thornberries. Although Tim Curry’s last film role was in the 2010 comedy Burke & Whore, that doesn’t mean that after all these years, film fans have forgotten the spirit and talent he brought to the film industry.
Some facts about Electricity that will make horror fans put the new film on their watch list is that the team behind the Terrorbringer Films are behind it.
