NORFOLK, Va. (September 23, 2024) – Tickets for the home match of Norfolk native Keyshawn Davis – who faces Gustavo Lemos in a 10-round lightweight main event on Friday, November 8 at Scope Arena – go on sale Wednesday, September 25 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster and at the Scope Arena box office.
A special presale begins TODAY at 10:00 AM ET and can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.
Davis (11-0, 7 KOs), an Olympic silver medal-contending star and world-ranked contender, brings major boxing back to his beloved hometown. The event, which will stream live in the U.S. and exclusively on ESPN+, is the most significant boxing event at Scope Arena since Norfolk-born legend Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker defended his welterweight world title against Buddy McGirt in October 1994. Lemos (29-1, 19 KOs), of Buenos Aires, Argentina, is undefeated at lightweight, losing a controversial decision to top junior welterweight contender Richardson Hitchins in April.
“I can’t wait to get the support of everyone from Norfolk, the Seven Cities and all of Virginia. This is going to be special,” said Davis. “I’ve always dreamed of fighting in the Scope Arena and I’m coming to put on a spectacular show for everyone in the 757!”
In the co-feature, WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. (26-0, 20 KOs) will face Derrieck Cuevas (27-1-1, 19 KOs) of Puerto Rico for the first time.
On the undercard, Keyshawn’s older brother, junior welterweight prospect Kelvin Davis (13-0, 7 KOs), faces Yeis Solano (15-3, 10 KOs) in an eight-round bout, while his younger brother Keon Davis makes his professional debut in a four-round welterweight bout. Lightweight prodigy Abdullah Mason (15-0, 13 KOs) looks to shine in an eight-round bout against Yohan Vasquez (26-5, 21 KOs), and middleweight prospect Troy “The Transformer” Isley (13-0, 5 KOs), Keyshawn’s Olympic teammate and a native of Alexandria, Virginia, hopes to wow fans in his home region in a ten-round bout against Tyler “Hercules” Howard (20-1, 11 KOs).
