Three people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a suspected pipe bomb exploded and set fire to a parked pickup truck on Columbus’ south side.
No one was injured in the explosion and fire, Columbus police said. The incident was reported at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday behind a home in the 2300 block of South 6th Street. The pickup truck was believed to be parked and unoccupied at the time, but police had cordoned off streets in the area with crime scene tape and patrol cars were parked a block or more away.
