This Uber Eats driver earned enough for his dream wedding

Paul Slobodzian, an Uber Eats driver and TikToker, is driving on the side to save up for his and his fiancée Aly Perkins’ dream wedding.

One night, a woman named Erica Hernandez ordered her dinner from Chipotle. Paul picked up her order and included a handwritten note when he delivered it. The note read, “Thank you for your order! I deliver for ❤️ on the side to give my fiancée the wedding she deserves. Any extra tips via the app or Venmo are greatly appreciated.”

Erica wanted to help

Erica was touched by the sweet gesture and wanted to help. She posted it in a TikTok video that went viral, even though Erica thought she didn’t have too many followers. “I don’t have a lot of followers, but hopefully this reaches the right people,” the video says. And it did.

The video now has 37.1 million views, and because Paul’s Venmo account was listed in the note, he started receiving donations from the public. Chipotle even donated $500.

Paul then posted an update on his own TikTok account. “Thank you so much to everyone who watched the video, liked it, commented on it, shared it, anything you did to engage with the video. It really means a lot to me,” Paul tells his followers.

The couple has enough money for their dream wedding

Paul posted a few more updates – one with a Fox 10 clip that also features his fiancée Aly. The two met as sophomores in college and are planning to get married in September. In the same clip, he mentions that Chipolte has reached out and wants to be involved in the wedding in some capacity.

Thanks to the kindness of strangers, both Paul and Aly, also Uber Eats drivers, were able to quit their part-time jobs. With the viral TikTok video and its special note, they have now earned enough money. The young couple can now focus on wedding planning and spend more time together.

The two are also giving back. They set aside $1,000 for Erica and invited her to their wedding as the guest of honor. As crazy as social media can be, stories like this are heartwarming to see how it can help strangers connect and help each other.

Many prayers and blessings to the couple as they prepare to begin their life together.
