“I’m excited. I mean, Bachelor Nation is deep-rooted, right?” Joey, 28, joked exclusively to We weekly on Wednesday, September 4. “They always do that Dancing with the starsSo it’s an exciting opportunity and we’re just going to have fun with it.”

Joey dances with DWTS Champion of Season 26 Jenna Johnsonwhile Jenn, 28, works with professionals Sasha Farber. Jenn was added to the list at the last minute and tells Us that she got the casting news immediately after she “left the stage crying” at the live show Bachelorette final. (The end of Jenn’s season concluded on Tuesday, September 3, when she confronted her ex Devin Strader about the end of their engagement.)

Since Jenn’s stormy trip to New York City for the Good morning America Announcement, she is reunited with Joey. (Jenn was previously in Joey’s season of The Bacheloris eliminated before the home cities.)

“I saw her earlier today. Of course, she came at the last minute, but I was able to greet her and hug her,” said Joey Us. “As I said, we’re just looking forward to getting things going.”

As Joey and Jenna prepare to become rivals in the ballroom, he has the full support of his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson.

“She’s been so supportive,” Joey said of Kelsey, 25. “She’s really pushed me to do this, (and) we’re just going to enjoy this time. It’s actually nice to slow down a little bit and be in the same place. And yeah, we’re going to enjoy LA and just see what it’s like here for a little bit.”

While Joey joked that joining DWTS “Probably not the best” for wedding planning, 30-year-old Jenna hopes to get him ready for the first dance.

Over the years, many members of Bachelor Nation have joined Dancing With the Stars in search of romance – but not all have taken home the disco ball. “I was excited. He’s tall, he’s athletic,” said Jenna Us to meet the former Bachelor. “I just thought, ‘Yes, yes and yes.'”

According to Jenna, her first rehearsals have gone really “well” so far.

“I’m really impressed with his ability,” Jenna said. “He’s not a dancer, but he has a good feel and is so smart that he can process what I’m saying and I’m really impressed.”

Joey, meanwhile, was “excited” about the So you think you can dance Alum.

“My sister watches the show and she was hoping I would be with Jenna,” he joked. “When I found out, I couldn’t wait.”

Dancing with the stars Season 33 premieres on Tuesday, September 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
