National Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month celebrations are taking place at several branches of the Denver Public Library this weekend.

Other events include a Halloween costume swap at Stanley Marketplace, a pickling contest and tasting event at WestFax Brewing Co. and a Colorado Avalanche preseason game. The second weekend of Denver Oktoberfest also takes place Friday through Sunday in Denver’s Ballpark District.
