The Weeknd’s album cover “Hurry Up Tomorrow” is available for pre-order

The Weeknd unveiled the striking album cover for Hurry up tomorrowthe last part of a trilogy that began in 2020 After work and 2022 Radio and television stationsover the weekend.

“ALBUMCOVER”, he captioned the picture he shared on social media on Saturday (September 7) together with a Hurry up tomorrow Link to pre-order.

The Hurry up tomorrow The album cover is a portrait photograph of Abel Tesfaye, stunning in its simplicity. The viewer’s gaze is focused on his – it is fixed in a harrowing stare and skillfully lit. It looks as if he is holding back tears. He is wearing a classic black tank top, of which only the straps are visible in the image. He is sitting against the darkness and leaning forward. It is a striking portrait.

Billboard I reached out to a Tesfaye representative to inquire about the photographer behind the cover image, but did not receive a response by press time.

The pre-order for Hurry up tomorrow was launched on Saturday via The Weeknd’s webstore, with a first pressing vinyl for $33 and a first pressing CD for $12 (limited to four units per customer).

The release date of the album has not yet been confirmed.

Hurry up tomorrow was announced on September 4 with a visual teaser and press release, explaining its place in The Weeknd’s trilogy as “the creative culmination of the project, serving as the third and final chapter with existential and self-referential themes, as seen in the recent visionary teasers that have built great anticipation among fans for this final installment.”

The album cover followed on September 7, the date of The Weeknd’s highly anticipated livestream from São Paulo, where he will be performing a special, one-off concert at Estádio MorumBIS. (Watch it below.)

Tesfaye composed the central song of his upcoming album almost a year ago in São Paulo, when his After Hours Til Dawn tour brought him to the city for two nights in October, Billboard Brazil reported for the first time.

From what’s coming — the new show and Hurry up tomorrow — he said Billboard Brazil“There’s always pressure to outdo my last project. Growth is important. Sometimes it might not be what people want to hear from me in the moment, but when the body of work is finished, I hope they can appreciate what I’ve tried to achieve. I’ve been working on this discography for a long time. It was all planned.”

“I’m always trying to achieve something musically that I’ve never done before,” he added. “Sometimes it might not be clear on the first listen (of the album), but fans seem to figure it out over time.”

Stream his concert special live from São Paulo via his YouTube channel (video embedded below), starting tonight (September 7) at 8 p.m. ET.
