‘The View’ hosts joke about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest for sex trafficking

The co-hosts of “View” joked about the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs on sex trafficking charges after it was revealed that 1,000 bottles of lubricant were found during raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March.

“It’s not a crime, folks,” joked co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Whoopi Goldberg jokingly repeated the phrase “it’s not a crime,” earning giggles from her co-hosts and the audience.

Joy Behar, meanwhile, described the case as “disgusting.”

Sunny Hostin, an attorney and legal expert on the show, kept a straight face as she revealed details of the horrific allegations.

“Basically, he staged these orgies with underage and sometimes adult girls, as well as commercial sex workers who traveled across state lines, and that is criminal,” she said.

“He had AR-15s with obscured serial numbers, recorded phone calls, and if you add all that up, the maximum sentence is 20 years to life.”

Combs’ longtime rival 50 Cent also took the opportunity to criticize the situation, posting a cheeky caption next to a photo of himself with Drew Barrymore.

“Here I am in good company with @DrewBarrymoreTV and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at home,” he wrote on X.

Combs was taken into police custody on Monday. At his arraignment on Tuesday, he was charged with three serious crimes: conspiracy to commit organized crime, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

In the 14-page indictment, obtained by Page Six, prosecutors allege that the 54-year-old “Last Night” singer spent decades “abusing, threatening and coercing women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his behavior.”

They also claimed that he had founded a “criminal organization whose members and accomplices were involved in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

Combs pleaded not guilty to all three counts in federal court in Lower Manhattan.

In a press conference following the arraignment, the musician’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said Combs was “not afraid of the charges.”

“He was looking forward to this day; he was looking forward to clearing his name. He didn’t do those things.”

In addition to the federal charges, Combs faced numerous sexual abuse and rape lawsuits after being sued by his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in November 2023.

The two reached a private settlement within 24 hours, but his lawyer stressed that the agreement in no way constituted an acknowledgement of any guilt.

The controversial music producer’s arrest came a week after he was ordered to pay $100 million for an alleged incident at a party in 1997.
