Creed 4The announcement of suggests that the boxing franchise will continue its positive development, but there is another upcoming Rocky Film that I am even more excited about. After Creed 4 was confirmed towards the end of 2023, all the excitement about the Rocky Saga seemed to revolve around Adonis’ next chapter, especially after Creed 3The ending. The boxer seemed to have hung up his gloves for good after winning his grudge match against his childhood friend, suggesting that Adonis’ story was coming to an end. However, the confirmation of a sequel makes me even more curious to see what happens next.

The next part may not directly follow Jordan’s characterbut use him as a mentor for his daughter or another aspiring fighter. Since Adonis’ career ended perfectly and there are not many directions left, it was decided not to use Jordan as the main actor Creed 4 could be a wise decision. It would prevent Creed 3‘s conclusion and let someone else take the lead role, but that makes it hard for me to get too involved in the next outing. In contrast, another confirmed Rocky I’m excited for the release of this spin-off.

Creed 4 is going to be great, but I can’t wait for Drago’s spinoff

The Drago spinoff will reinvent the Rocky franchise just like Creed did

I am still curious where Creed 4 takes up his story and I am fully convinced that it will be a success. I am all the more excited about the Drago spin-off. Dolph Lundgren was part of the Rocky Franchise for almost four decadesand while he began the series as a cruel and menacing antagonist, he slowly became more sympathetic over the years. Although Ivan Drago did not appear in Creed 3he played a central role in the second film and has a long history throughout the boxing franchise, so his own spin-off is long overdue.

Alongside his son Viktor, Ivan has a lot of potential for a leading role and could tell a somewhat darker story. While the two Rocky And Believe Movies have their fair share of tragedies, neither of the protagonists are overly morally complex. They are both underdogs and honorable boxers who only fight unfairly when necessary, while Drago’s past makes him much more questionable. Fortunately, it sounds like some kind of fresh Rocky The story I’ve been waiting for and it has a lot of potential for success.

Rocky’s franchise plans have probably changed

The situation surrounding Jonathan Majors will make Drago’s spinoff even more important

Although the Drago spinoff seems to have been in the works for some time, it inadvertently became much more important than the Rocky Franchise has probably changed its plans. It is impossible to know for sure in which direction the franchise will go after Creed 3but since Damien (Jonathan Majors) played a central role in the film, it is likely that he would have played a major role in the franchise in the future as well. Damien was built to be the next big star in Creed 3but after the controversy surrounding Jonathan Majors, it seems unlikely that the actor will return.

Majors was found guilty of one count of third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment, meaning his character’s plans have likely been scrapped, forcing the franchise to make a U-turn. While this could have implications for Creed 4there are many ways the series can adapt Damien and move on, but that makes it more important to establish someone else, and the onus could fall on the Drago spinoff. The Drago family has enough history to appeal to long-term viewers, meaning Viktor could become a major player while the main character Believe Films work to create a new star of their own.

The Rocky series follows boxer Rocky Balboa’s rise from underdog to champion and later Adonis Creed’s journey to emulate his father Apollo Creed. The films chronicle Rocky’s highs and lows, and both this and the Creed series deal with their title character’s internal and external struggles both in and out of the ring.

Based on how Creed 3 finished, I imagine the idea was to make Damien a central figure in the future and possibly the future of the Believe Franchise around majors. However, as plans are likely to change, Drago could be more than a one-off film and contribute to Rocky Universe more room to grow.

Creed has proven through spin-offs that Rocky can continue for years to come

Considering how successful the Believe movies, it is clear that Drago is capable of carrying his own spin-off series. Although Apollo Creed was a massive character in RockyI never imagined that his son would be the character that would drive the franchise forward. However, Adonis was a compelling protagonist in each film, and the inclusion of Sylvester Stallone in the spin-offs helped the film stand on its own. Believe The series is incredibly easy to understand, and you don’t need to Rocky Movies to enjoy it proves Drago also has the potential to become a success story in its own right.

The film may have a harder time distinguishing itself from Rocky And Believe since Ivan plays a big role in both, but There’s no reason why the Drago spinoff couldn’t become something bigger. Ivan deserves a role as a protagonist, but the series could also continue without him with his son Viktor, as Florian Munteanu has a lot of acting potential. With Creed 4 probably further RockyI’m excited to see what the Drago spinoff has in store and believe it could be one of the franchise’s most exciting projects yet as it continues to push the momentum of Drago and make the universe even bigger.
