Just when you thought you already knew everything about Google’s yet-to-be-released Pixel 9 family of phones, an undoubtedly legitimate promotional video has surfaced on social media, providing even more information about the search giant’s vision for the Android-based and AI-driven future.
This looks like very useful AI magic!
If you feel like many of the artificial intelligence tools unveiled by Google, Samsung, and many other mobile industry heavyweights over the past year haven’t exactly improved your user experience in a meaningful way, then something tells us you’ll look at the Add Me feature a little differently once it launches… if it works as advertised.
Gemini will of course also receive many additional superpowers with the introduction of the Pixels 9 series, one of which is also well demonstrated in today’s promo video. We’re not sure if this particular skill has a catchy name, but apparently Google’s cutting-edge AI chatbot can recognize ingredients in snapshots and instantly suggest recipes you could make using those ingredients.
This sounds and looks a bit gimmicky in this author’s honest opinion, but given the enormous popularity of cooking shows like “Top Chef,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and yes, “The Bear” around the world in recent years, it might be something that certain Pixels 9 Users will find it convenient and useful.
Experience the Pixel 9 Pro in all its colorful glory!
The Pixel 9 Pro (omit XL) is presented in a total of four extremely striking finishes from every possible angle, giving us another look (or 20) at the striking new camera module on the back, the rounded corners, the relatively wide waist and the not very thin screen bezels.
- 6.34-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2856 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz;
- Google Tensor G4 processor;
- Android15;
- 50 + 48 + 48 MP triple rear camera system;
- 42MP front camera;
- Storage options: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB;
- 12/16GB RAM;
- 4,600 mAh battery.
And last but not least, we have good reasons to believe that the Pixel 9 Pro will start in the US at a price of about $1,000, with the “vanilla” version Pixels 9 The entry-level configuration is said to cost $800 and the cheapest Pixel 9 Pro The model will probably cost you a whopping $1,100 or so.
This is definitely an… ambitious pricing structure that Google needs to back up with a lot more than just a few potentially useful but gimmicky new AI features.
