When East Meets Feast – Melbourne’s most colourful cultural wedding exhibition prepares for its one-day spectacular on Thursday 22 August. Completely free to the public, this showcase takes place at Q Events, Melbourne’s premier CBD venue in the heart of Queen Street, and is the first in a series of cultural wedding exhibitions inviting couples, friends and families to meet and interact with some of Victoria’s best wedding suppliers – with a particular focus on Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese wedding traditions.

Not only does When East Meets Feast offer the opportunity to meet over ten of Victoria’s most exciting wedding outfitters, suppliers and coordinators, it is more than just a wedding exhibition.

Guests will be transported to an immersive world of cultures! A multi-sensory experience where taste, touch and sound come together to showcase the beautiful cultures and their wedding traditions in a new and exciting way. This creates a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western wedding elements that inspires couples to reflect on their multicultural love story.

As guests enter the main hall of the venue, they are greeted by a cultural fusion show, with an electrifying show utilising the talents of Bollywood dancers, Chinese dancers and Dhol and Chinese drummers. The evening concludes with rousing music from popular Indian DJs. With the added charm of a playful Chinese lion or two, the show is interwoven with playful competitions between the drummers and dancers of each culture, culminating in an epic finale of unity.

To keep the festive spirit going, guests can indulge in world-class Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian cuisine from some of Melbourne’s finest catering companies, including Tandoori Flames and the award-winning Crystal Palace Catering, as well as an array of irresistible drinks and cocktails prepared by Q Events’ in-house bar team.

Q Events’ wedding professionals will be on hand to help guests plan their wedding. Guests will also be able to explore stunning wedding mockups from S&S Event Specialists and Decor It Studio and enjoy live demos from Nhi Makeup Artistry, Krystal Melbourne Bridal Hair, Incredibooth and Tech Events, all designed to provide inspiration for their big day. There will also be gift bags full of delightful surprises for guests to take home.
