Layne Riggs, driver of the No. 38 Ford F-150, made headlines at the LiUNA! 175 race at the Milwaukee Mile. He made the move from Spire Motorsports to Front Row Motorsports in early 2024, and it seems like it was the right decision for both the team and the driver. At just 22 years old, Riggs reached a significant milestone in his NASCAR Truck Series career by securing his first career win at the Milwaukee Mile.

He entered the race 15th in the points standings and wasn’t considered a top contender for the win. That made his win all the sweeter for him, as was his celebration. After scoring a surprise victory, Riggs celebrated by climbing on his truck and doing fist pumps in Victory Lane. His excitement exceeded the limits of his body, as he appeared to be in considerable pain when he got out of the truck. The 38 team quickly came to his aid, and it was discovered that he had dislocated his shoulder during his first punch. The crew helped him put his dislocated shoulder back in place, and the celebration continued with less energy.

When Layne Riggs later spoke to FOX Sports about the incident, he acknowledged the severity of his injury but still remained positive, saying: “I dislocated my shoulder. I celebrated so much, It hurts like hell, but it was worth it. It’s not the first time this has happened to me, but it won’t stop me.”
