The Weekly world news is back and brings his mix of offbeat tabloid “journalism” to the cinema. Freestyle Digital Media releases a trailer and a poster for The Zombie Weddinga new zom romantic comedy that marks the start of a series of projects from Weekly World News Studios.
Directed by Micah Khan from a screenplay by Greg D’Alessandro, The Zombie Wedding features a cast that includes Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live), Seth Gilliam (The Walking Dead), Heather Matarazzo (Scream), Kevin Chamberlin (Jessie), Siobhan Fallon Hogan (Men in Black), Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Ajay Naidu (Office space) and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees. The Zombie Wedding tells the story of what happens when a young New Jersey couple decides to have their dream wedding – during the zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately, the bride is human and the groom is a zombie. Both families are terrified, but the humans’ behavior is downright bestial. When the zombies are brainwashed, the ceremony takes a strange turn. The reporters from Weekly World News cover this wild, crazy wedding – and try to get out alive!
The Zombie Wedding is scheduled for release on September 13, 2024.
