The next two days are warm and dry in Denver

The seven-day forecast has a bit of everything! Summer temperatures will remain for the next two days before significantly cooler air arrives this weekend, just in time for autumn.

In the Denver metropolitan area, we can expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees from Thursday and Friday. On Friday, the wind will pick up a bit, leading to another day of high fire danger.

Our next cold front is much stronger and will approach the state from Friday night.

Cooler air will move into the Front Range Saturday morning, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon. The heaviest rain will fall Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning. Some areas around the city could see up to 1 inch of water!

We’ll see highs of just over 20 degrees on Saturday and just over 15 degrees on Sunday! It’ll feel and look like fall as we welcome the new season on Sunday. Fall officially begins at 6:43 a.m. Sunday.

Some snow will fall on peaks above 9,000 feet on Saturday. Some areas could see between 3 and 6 inches of new snow by midday Sunday. Showers will slowly move out of the state Sunday afternoon and evening.
