Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant posted some scary health news on social media earlier in the weekend and asked fans for prayers.

Van Zant posted a video on his Facebook account after the band announced it was canceling some concerts due to his daughter’s health problem.

“First of all, I want to thank you all for praying for my family.” Van Zant said in the video. “I haven’t revealed my daughter’s name because she’s very private, but I just wanted to get this out there. So I just ask you to say a prayer for my daughter.

Van Zant then revealed that it was actually his youngest daughter, Taylor.

“A few days ago, Taylor started feeling numb on his right side,” he said. “She went to the emergency room, they did a CAT scan and found a… all you can say was a mass in her brain, and part of it was bleeding.” That’s what caused the numbing part.

“When I say that, we put them together with a great neurological team and group of doctors and they don’t believe it’s (cancer),” he added. “So that’s a good thing, but they’re still doing a lot of testing. We’re not out of the woods yet, but we’re in a much better position than we initially thought.”

However, Van Zant revealed that his daughter is not the only person he is asking for prayers for.

“And that’s why you continue to pray for Taylor,” he said. “It means everything to me and my family. I have another one, when it rains it pours. My bus driver who has been traveling with me for the last few months, our buses went to Anchorage and our buses went over to Utah.”

Van Zant said his driver was riding a scooter when he suffered an accident.

“He destroyed the scooter and hit his head and he is in intensive care,” he said. “Brad Gibson wants to get Brad back on his feet along with Taylor. He has a nice family, a little daughter, a great family, and he was a great driver for us. Good guy and a really crazy accident if you can pray, pray, pray for him.

“You know, the (devil) will try in every possible way to get you if you start spreading his word, but we won’t let it happen,” he added. “We will fight him until the end. He only wants to cause trouble and harm us. So think about it, I won’t let it happen.

“I will fight with Jesus Christ to the end.”
