If you’re on a tight budget, the Midnight mattress is the little brother of the Midnight Luxe. It’s a more affordable choice for side sleepers, but it’s softer than the Luxe and won’t be suitable for stomach sleepers or heavier sleepers. It offers excellent pressure relief and good temperature regulation, so if you sleep warm, this could be a good choice.

Back and stomach sleepers will hardly find a more comfortable mattress than the Helix Dusk Luxe. This is the most luxurious mattress collection in Helix’s range and it is firm enough to keep the spine straight at all times. We believe it falls between 7 and 9 out of 10 on the firmness scale, which means it is far too firm for side sleepers and light sleepers may also find it too rigid.

Is Labor Day a good time to buy a mattress?
Labor Day has some of the best discounts we’ve seen outside of Black Friday weekend, and sometimes you can even get deals that rival it. This is the last sale before Black Friday in November, so brands are often generous with discounts. Of course, some brands just offer the usual standing discounts and package them as Labor Day discounts, but in general, you can find some excellent deals on and around Labor Day. Since many brands don’t offer discounts during the summer months, Labor Day is a welcome excuse to look for a deal.
It’s definitely worth taking advantage of Labor Day, assuming the brand you’re interested in is participating in the deal. While Helix’s current offer isn’t the biggest we’ve seen from the brand, it’s still a generous discount.
What to expect from Helix Labor Day deals
Early discounts are now available on the Helix website. All mattresses are 25% off with code LDW25 and 27% off with code. TOMS27. This is an extremely generous discount and I’m not sure it will be any higher on Labor Day, as 25% is a common discount during major sales for the brand.
However, we did see Helix offer a 30% discount for Memorial Day earlier this year, so there’s little chance there will be any further discounts on the mattress. If you’re not in a particular hurry to buy anything, it might be worth waiting until just before September 2nd to see if prices drop even further. Plus, you’ll get two free Dream Pillows along with the mattress.
