There are only a few days left until the launch of the Google Pixel 9 series and the leaks just keep coming in – the latest one hinting at a rather tempting offer from a wireless carrier that lets you double the phone storage for your money.
As serial tipster Roland Quandt discovered on an apparently pre-created terms and conditions page, British network operator Vodafone is offering a limited-time deal that gives you double the storage capacity for Pixel 9 phones for free.
This means that the 256GB version will be sold for the price of the 128GB version, the 512GB version for the price of the 256GB version, and so on. This apparently applies to the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Those of us not in the UK and on the Vodafone network might not want to get too excited, but there’s at least a chance these deals will be offered by other providers in other countries – giving you more pixels for your money.

This same leak also reveals that the Google Pixel Pro XL will come with up to 1TB of storage, which we also know from previous rumors. It looks like the Pixel 9 will have a maximum of 256GB and the other two phones in the quartet will have a maximum of 512GB.
With the unveiling of these handsets (and the Pixel Watch 3) scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, not much has leaked about the devices – from internal specs to the colors we’re expecting to see them in.
We’ve written about everything you can expect from the Pixel 9 launch, and it’s possible we’ll get some news about Android 15 and possibly more Gemini AI features at the big showcase event next week.
You can follow along on TechRadar, and there will be a livestream too. It all kicks off at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, so 3am AEST on August 14. If you think you’ll be tempted to buy, you might have to pay a little more than last year.
