DJ Uiagalelei transferred from Oregon State to Florida State in hopes of increasing his chances of being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The well-traveled quarterback, who began his career at Clemson, is not off to a great start in that endeavor.

After a shaky start in Florida State’s opening loss to Georgia Tech, Uiagalelei hit rock bottom during the Seminoles’ game against Boston College on Labor Day night. His first half against the Eagles was one for the ages, the Dark Ages.

Uiagalelei finished the half 8-of-21 passing, with at least seven of the incomplete passes coming from wide-missing throws. That’s been a problem throughout his long college career, but Uiagalelei’s struggles on a national level have captivated the college football and NFL Draft communities for all the wrong reasons.

The reaction on social media to Uiagalelei’s very poor evening, which came on top of his poor play in Ireland a week earlier, was quite apt.

It’s safe to say that the 23-year-old Uiagalelei won’t be appearing in an early draft anytime soon. During the writing of this article, Uiagalelei threw an interception that allowed Boston College to score a short touchdown.
