Although the couple had been together since 2011, they didn’t make their public debut as a couple until 2019 at the LACMA Art + Film Gala. At the time, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that they “started dating earlier this year but wanted to keep it a secret.”

Months before they walked the runway hand in hand and announced their relationship, the two posed together at the MOCA Benefit in May 2019.

And in June 2019, the two hit the beach together for the Saint Laurent Menswear fashion show in Paradise Cove, Malibu, California.

Years of work

Before sharing their romantic connection with the world, the two had been working together for years. In 2011, they published the picture book for adults, Ode to happiness followed by the publication of her art book, Shadow, in 2016. In 2017, their professional relationship intensified even further with the founding of their publishing company, X Artists’ Books.

Here the couple appeared hand in hand at the 2023 LACMA Art+Film Gala – four years after their red carpet debut.

The couple were in good spirits for the 2022 MOCA Gala as Grant laughed while holding The Matrix Hand of the Star.
