The cast of ‘The Killer,’ a remake of the action film, takes Deco behind the scenes of the movie – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

John Woo is back with another action-packed film, The Killer, out this Friday on Peacock. Nathalie Emmanuel, known as the Queen of the Dead, plays a very fashionable assassin and teams up with a good cop, Omar Sy. The powerful pair faced off against Deco and forced us to go behind the scenes, but what they didn’t know was that we would have left anyway.

John Woo is a master of action. He is famous for films such as “Face-Off” and “Mission Impossible: 2”. But now he is back with a remake of his own classic film – “The Killer”.

Nathalie Emmanuel (as Zee): “Never send boys to do a woman’s work.”

For stars Omar Sy and Nathalie Emmanuel, working with the legend is the most important thing. But the preparation was very complex.

Nathalie Emmanuel: “Just a little bit, actually quite a lot. (laughs) It was pretty exhausting, wasn’t it? Probably some kind of targeted training for about five or six weeks. Not just stunt coordination, but also weapons training and handling weapons and safety.”

Omar Sy: “It was fantastic and exactly what I expected. When you say yes to a John Woo film, that’s exactly what you want. You want training with weapons, you want training for fights, and we had all that.”

Omar Sy (as Sey): “The boys think you’re a legend.”

Nathalie Emmanuel (as Zee): “What did they say?”

Omar Sy (as Sey): “They say you are the queen of the dead.”

Nathalie is Zee, a mysterious but very stylish assassin with morals.

Any favorite costumes from the bloody movie?

Nathalie Emmanuel: “I think my favorite is the first main kill sequence that we see with her in the club. It’s very sexy but also functional. She literally has a gun built in and I just loved that aspect of it.”

Nathalie Emmanuel: “Zee is very skilled with many weapons and I think her kind of sexuality and femininity is part of it and she knew exactly how to use it in this dress.”

This thrilling cinematic journey had just the right amount of on-set craziness for this good cop-hunter duo.

Nathalie Emmanuel: “I think there’s a lot of chaos that can be really fun and surprising things come out of it that really feed into the film, but I think there’s a certain level of chaos that can be really hard. I think there was a nice amount of that

Omar Sy: “A good balance, we would say. It was a little tiring in the end and it was an incredible journey. And when you see the film at the end, you are so happy to have been part of something like that. It’s just incredible. It’s just another John Woo film. We did it!”

Nathalie Emmanuel (as Zee): “I’m not the one who ran out of bullets.”
