The Buffalo Bills beat the Jacksonville Jaguars so clearly that their owner reportedly sees the red card

Shad Khan had high expectations for the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2024 season and let everyone know it. Before the 2024 season, the Jaguars owner announced that this was the best Jaguars roster the team had ever assembled.

“Make no mistake, this is the best team the Jacksonville Jaguars have ever assembled,” Khan said. “The best players, the best coaches. But most importantly, we have to prove it now with a win.”

After three weeks, the “best team the Jacksonville Jaguars have ever assembled” is 0-3. Their last loss, a 47-10 defeat to the Buffalo Bills, went down as the team’s sixth-worst loss in franchise history and reportedly infuriated Khan.

Buffalo prevailed against the Jaguars. Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes and had all day to throw the ball. Defensively, Buffalo limited a desperate Jaguars team to just 10 points despite missing star defenders Matt Milano, Terrel Bernard and Taron Johnson.

After the loss, Demetrius Harvey, a Jaguars reporter for the Florida Times-Union, reported that the normally reserved Khan was shown the red card due to the one-sided defeat.

“Someone close to Jaguars owner Shad Khan told me tonight, ‘I’ve never seen Shad so angry. Normally he’s a reserved, friendly gentleman. Not tonight,'” Harvey shared on X.

To be fair, the team made some spectacular moves in the offseason, signing quarterback Trevor Lawrence and star pass rusher Josh Hines-Allen to long contract extensions. In free agency, the team signed Arik Armstead and former Bills Gabe Davis and Mitch Morse. The team also further strengthened its wide receiver room by signing Brian Thomas Jr. with the No. 23 pick.

The measures have not produced the desired results.

Khan’s Jaguars blew their Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins before losing at home to the Cleveland Browns. Their recent loss to the Bills has put them in an 0-3 hole that will be hard to climb out of if they want to make the playoffs.
