Bills linebacker Von Miller was suspended four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL’s code of conduct.

The NFL did not provide a specific reason for the suspension, but it is believed to be related to allegations of domestic violence against his girlfriend last November, ESPN reports.

Miller, 35, was accused of assaulting his girlfriend, and Dallas police issued an arrest warrant for the Bills star, suspecting him of third-degree assault on a pregnant woman.

Miller turned himself in to authorities on November 30, 2023 and was released on $5,000 bail.

The Bills linebacker denied the allegations, and in text statements to Dallas news station WFAA at the time of the incident, the alleged victim said that she and Miller were “fine” and that the incident was “a big misunderstanding.”

“No one attacked anyone,” she told the news station. “This is crazy. And sad.”

A police affidavit painted a different picture, with authorities alleging that Miller put hands on the woman’s neck, pulled her hair and tried to push her.

Police ultimately closed the case without charging Miller, and he expressed relief about that while speaking to reporters at training camp.

“I can just move on and focus solely on football,” Miller said, according to the Democrat & Chronicle. “Life sometimes, but my life right now is all about football and my kids and being the best teammate and best football player I can be. “I’m happy to be here with the Buffalo Bills. I’m happy just being in this moment, living my life and doing the things we normally do.”

Miller can be reinstated after Week 8, when the Bills host the Seahawks.

He will miss games against the Texans, Jets, Titans and Seahawks.
