MINNEAPOLIS — The holiday season is upon us and Target is preparing for it with around 100,000 seasonal workers.

On Monday, the Minneapolis-based retailer announced its plans for the upcoming holidays through the end of the year.

The additional team members will assist with order pickup and drive-thru, stocking, and purchasing. Interested candidates can apply at targetseasonaljobs.com beginning September 25.

In addition to the additional offerings, the store will also offer more than half of its holiday toys under $20 and thousands under $5. There will be over 1,000 new toys from brands like Disney, LEGO and FAO Schwarz.

The store is also hosting a week-long event for Target Circle members from October 6 to 12. Target Circle Week will feature special deals on products to help consumers prepare for the holidays and fall items.

The store Car seat exchange campaign is underway now. Through September 28, shoppers can turn in an old car seat and receive 20% off a new car seat, stroller or “household item” as part of the Target Circle offer.

Target has nearly 1,963 stores across the United States and two corporate campuses in the Twin Cities.
