The actress from “Good Times,” “ER” and “2 Broke Girls” was 83 years old

Betty A. Bridges, an actress best known for her leading role in HE, 2 Broke Girls And Good times, has died. She was 83 years old.

According to Deadline, Betty died in her son’s house. Different strokes Star Todd Bridges, on Tuesday, August 27, in Phoenix.

Rep. Elizabeth Much confirmed her death to PEOPLE. According to Deadline, Betty was reportedly in hospice care at Todd’s home at the time of her death.

To pay his last respects to his mother after her death, 59-year-old Todd posted a tribute on Instagram. “1941 – 2024 Betty Bridges,” read the caption of a post above a photo of the actress with a beaming smile.

Lenny Kravitz was one of the other celebrities who left supportive comments on Todd’s post, including, “Rest in peace queen.” Yvette Nicole Brown said, “Oh Todd, I’m so sorry for your loss! ❤️🕊️.”

Todd, who is best known for his role as Willis Jackson in Different strokesand then shared another post that showed a video montage of photos of his mother.

Betty smiled in old and new photos with her loved ones to the song “I Love You Always Forever (Acoustic)” by Everly Fair.

“I’m so sorry Todd. I will always love and miss Ms. Bridges,” one person commented. “She was so proud of you. She reconnected with me on Facebook a few years ago to tell me you were OK. She checked in with me occasionally. I wish you the best. I will always be proud of you. I love you brother. ❤️🙏🏾.”

Another added: “I love this woman!!! I’m so sorry you’re going through this Todd 🩵.”

In addition to Good times, HE And 2 Broke GirlsBetty’s acting career included the 1970s policewoman, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman And Charlie’s Angels. She has also appeared in shows such as Quincy M.E, Different strokes And Wonder Woman.

According to Deadline, Betty made a career as a Hollywood manager and acting teacher and co-founded an acting school called Kane Bridge Academy.

At one point, she began offering her classes in her Los Angeles home and even gave free lessons to neighborhood children. Her students included Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and sisters Regina and Reina King, according to the outlet.

In addition to her son Todd and his wife Bettijo Bridges, Betty leaves behind her sons Jimmy Bridges and Zerondrick Hubbard, her daughter Verda Bridges Prpich and 12 grandchildren, according to Deadline.
