Tesla is preparing to launch its semi-trailer truck in Europe and the first test drives are planned for the IAA, which will take place in Hanover from September 17 to 22.
Earlier this month, the company began searching for a “Head of Business Development – Semi Truck EMEA (Amsterdam or Berlin)”.
The candidate’s responsibilities include building and maintaining “customer relationships and planning future deployments of Tesla semi-trailers.”

“This individual will meet regularly with potential European Semi customers to understand their use cases, needs and duty cycles,” Tesla’s job description states.
The company’s senior manager of the Semi program, Dan Priestley, will give two presentations on the first two days of the IAA show.
On opening day, Priestley will deliver a 15-minute keynote speech, while the following day the executive will sit down with Dejan Antunović, electrification program manager at PepsiCo – one of Tesla’s first customers for the Semi model – for a panel discussion titled “Scaling Semi Electrification: A Case Study with PepsiCo.”
The event’s website said that “18 exhibitors with 33 heavy and 27 light commercial vehicles have registered,” including Tesla, MAN Trucks, Scania, Volvo and others.
