Terry Bradshaw shocks co-hosts with ‘spin the bottle’ commentary before NFL game on Fox

There’s never a dull moment when Terry Bradshaw is around, but even for him, this start on “Fox NFL Sunday” was shocking.

“It’s good to be back, isn’t it?” Bradshaw said during the welcome address on “Fox NFL Sunday.”

“I haven’t been this excited since my aunt taught me how to play spin the bottle. This is a great day.”

The crew mostly took it with a giggle.

“Oh my God,” said Howie Long.

“Your aunt?” added Jimmy Johnson.

Although Michael Strahan was speechless, he did not smile and closed his eyes in embarrassment.

Show host Kurt Menefee also paused for a moment and said to Bradshaw: “This is how we start the season, right?”

Strahan, wearing a stunning purple suit, regained his composure, changed the subject and told Jimmy Johnson, “You look good.”

On the show, Bradshaw also considered whether he should wear nail polish during a segment about Caleb Williams, the Bears’ rookie quarterback who wears nail polish to every game.

“What if I had painted my nails in 1970? Black on this side and gold on the other side, what would that have been like…” said Bradshaw.

He was interrupted by his colleague Howie Long, who “hoped you would just stop and not even think about it.”

Bradshaw, 76, has been with “Fox NFL Sunday” since the show’s inception in 1994 and once said he would retire in 2011 when his contract expires.

Bradshaw reconsidered that decision to “leave it to the young people,” and 16 years later, he is successful with the network in its 30th year with no end in sight.

Strahan has been with the show for 16 years, joining after the Giants’ victory in Super Bowl 42 over the undefeated Patriots.

Since then, he has had an impressive career in on-air television after a stellar 16-year run with the Giants.

The Fox team will host the 2025 Super Bowl, as Fox will televise it in February.
