Temperatures remain above 25 degrees as Helene’s remains are expected to reach Metro Detroit

4Warn Weather – After a few rain showers on Wednesday and heavy cloud cover, some of us saw a bit of sunshine while working towards the end of the day.

With drier weather we will continue to advance into the region by the end of the week.

Cloud cover is expected to decrease during the night, and by sunrise on Thursday morning the sky is expected to be mostly clear. Lowest temperatures at night will fall to 10 to 15 degrees.

Over the next few days, high pressure will build up, helping to influence the forecast.

Thursday

This means we will experience a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout Thursday before more cloud cover sets in towards the end of the week.

Maximum temperatures will remain above 21 degrees Celsius until the end of the week.

As this storm works its way through the southeastern United States and into the Ohio and Mississippi valleys, we will see increasing cloud cover through the end of the week and into next weekend.

Due to the size of the system, cloud cover will increase once it reaches land on Thursday night.

Weekend forecast

Thanks to Helene’s remnants, plenty of moisture remains and the forecast still calls for isolated showers over the weekend and into early next week.

We do not expect widespread precipitation or a lot of rain as we will experience peripheral effects of a low pressure system in this region.

However, the cloud cover will help keep temperatures low, with temperatures remaining above 21 degrees through the end of the week and into next weekend.

Next week

A cold front will pass through on Tuesday. There is a chance of showers on Tuesday morning before it dries out in the afternoon.

Maximum temperatures will remain above 21 degrees until early next week, before cooling down further.

From the middle of next week there will be more sunshine again and maximum temperatures will fall to 15 to 20 degrees Celsius by Wednesday.
