Teenager attacked by 4 attackers, cell phone and belt bag stolen: Police

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say a teenager was able to identify some of his attackers after a robbery.

The New Rochelle Police Department says officers were called to Huguenot Street shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday for a robbery.

Officers arriving at the scene questioned the 17-year-old victim, who told them he had been attacked and that his cell phone and fanny pack had been stolen.

The teenager told police he knew some of the suspects and provided names and descriptions.

Shortly thereafter, officers were able to locate the suspects and the victim was able to clearly identify the perpetrators.

The police arrested one adult and three juveniles.

Veilman Jiminez-Ramirez, 18, of New Rochelle, and the three male juveniles were charged with second-degree aggravated robbery and third-degree aggravated assault.

While Jiminez-Ramirez was held pending arraignment in New Rochelle Municipal Court, the juveniles were held pending arraignment by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Juvenile Division.
