CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Cedarville University announces that women’s golf will be added as the Yellow Jackets’ 17th varsity sport beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.
“We are excited to provide young Christian women with the opportunity to use their gifts and skills both on and off the golf course,” said Chris Cross, vice president of athletics.
“Our women’s golf team will be characterized by the same excellence and desire to represent Christ in all aspects of competition as all Cedarville University athletic teams.”
The Lady Jackets will utilize the university’s excellent athletic facilities, including the practice field and putting green on campus.
Women’s golf is the first sport added to the Cedarville program since 1997, when women’s soccer was added to the program. The Yellow Jackets have sponsored men’s golf since 1961.

Cedarville University plays in the NCAA Division II and the National Christian College Athletic Association. The Yellow Jackets are a founding member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
