LONG ISLAND, NY — Lights, cameras and smiles! Taylor Swift has arrived at the UBS Arena for the 40th anniversary of the MTV Video Music Awards.
The “Fortnight” singer wowed in a checkered Dior corset and attached skirt over black hot pants, over-the-knee boots and fingerless gloves that reached above her elbows. The outfit was almost straight out of the Dior Resort 2025 runway collection, which was first shown in June.
She paired the outfit with 30-carat pear-shaped yellow diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, surrounded by black jade.
Swift is up for 12 awards on Wednesday night, including: Song of the Summer, VMAs Most Iconic Performance, Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Art Direction and Best Editing.
Swift has been a long-time VMA nominee, having been nominated for “Our Song” in 2008. Since then, she’s won 23 times and could make history on Wednesday by winning video of the year for the fifth time, overtaking Beyoncé with 25 wins as a solo artist.

The awards show is the latest appearance in a busy week for the star. On Tuesday, she officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president. And over the weekend, she enjoyed a series of outings with boyfriend Travis Kelce.
