Fans of the singer Taylor Swift shared their clear disappointment with the star’s decisions after seeing their hug Brittany Mahomes after the 29-year-old’s move to apparently support the presidential candidate Donald Trump.

While many people agreed with this fan’s criticism, others argued that one can be friends with people who have different political views. One response read, “Just because they have different political views doesn’t mean they can’t be friends.”

Others highlighted Brittany’s actions, noting that she liked Trump’s social media posts about his problematic policies, after which Trump called her out by name to thank her for her support on his platform, Truth Social. Fans also pointed to Brittany’s questionable past tweets about Swift and other seemingly problematic actions.

Swift’s fans called out Brittany, but at the time of this writing, Swift has yet to publicly respond to the backlash, although Swifties had previously noticed that the “Fortnight” singer appeared to be sitting separately from her friend at a recent football game and assumed it was a reaction to the recent news.
