Taylen Green leads the field goal drive to tie the game against Oklahoma State in the final minute

Taylen Green made a crucial contribution for Arkansas in the final minute of regulation against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Trailing 31-28, Green led the Razorbacks with an eight-play, 48-yard run in just 55 seconds to send the game into overtime. Arkansas kicker Kyle Ramsey slotted the ball just between the goal posts to force overtime.

Green was brilliant for most of regulation time, but he was especially good on the final drive. Of the 48 yards Arkansas gained on the drive to tie the game, 41 came through the air. A majority of those yards came on a single play – a 33-yard pass to Andrew Armstrong over the middle that gave the Hogs a chance to tie the game.

This contest was not without controversy. Late in the fourth quarter, the referees seemed to miss an encroaching penalty against Arkansas that would have given Oklahoma State a first down. Instead, the Cowboys kicked a field goal with 55 seconds left to take the lead – and Arkansas was able to respond with a drive of its own.

Green led Arkansas to 10 points in the 4th quarter, sending the game into overtime.

Arkansas is looking for its 6th straight win against Oklahoma State. These teams have not met since 1980. A win over Oklahoma State in Stillwater would be huge for head coach Sam Pittman’s job security.
