Surbhi Chandna says designers didn’t want to give her dresses for her wedding: “I didn’t want to spend a lot”

Dressing up like a princess on the wedding day is every girl’s dream and that was the case with Surbhi too. Well, she was once accused of asking for free clothes for her wedding. In a recent interview, the actress shared that the designers were not ready to give her outfits during her wedding.
Surbhi Chandna says designers didn’t want to give her outfits for her wedding
Surbhi Chandna recently gave an interview to Galata India where the host asked her about her opinion on people who even today use the tag ‘TV actress’ in a derogatory manner. The host told how Hina Khan was criticised for making it to Cannes as a ‘TV actress’ and how designers were not ready to give her dresses. Surbhi added that even on her wedding day, designers did not want to give her dresses. The actress told that she did not want to spend a lot of money on her wedding outfit as she would not wear it again but working with the big designers for that was not possible. Surbhi told:
“Even at my weddings, there are times when I thought I didn’t want to spend money on the outfit because I knew I wouldn’t wear it again. So if I wanted to work with some bigger designers, that might not be the case, but what she said is absolutely true.”
Surbhi Chandna was accused of asking for free clothes during her wedding
Earlier, a post about Surbhi had gone massively viral on the discussion platform Reddit. The post was actually shared by designer Ayush Kejriwal in which the actress’ PR person could be seen requesting free clothes for the actress’ wedding. Well, the designer refused and revealed that he was against the idea of giving free clothes to celebrities but it was way too much how a celebrity had asked for free clothes at her own wedding.
Surbhi Chandna’s wedding outfit took 1800 hours to make
Surbhi Chandna won hearts with her choice of outfit on her wedding day. The actress avoided traditional red tones and the very trendy pastel shades for her big day and impressed in a turquoise lehenga with carnation pink highlights. The ensemble consisted of pearls and zar Embroidery all over. Baby pink Subscribeand tailor-made Subscribe were another attraction of her wedding look. Glamorous make-up and open hair made her look very special. The outfit was designed by the designer duo Jigar and Nikita.
In an interview with ETimes, the designer duo revealed that they wore the ensemble with Surbhi’s personality. Hence, the colour selection was like this. They also shared that the outfit took a whopping 70 days to get ready and the actress was in love with the same. Talking about her elegant wedding dress, Surbhi revealed in the same interview that she was speechless when she saw the dress for the first time and the little girl inside her also did a little dance of joy.
