NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. – The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2024-25 women’s basketball conference schedule Thursday morning.
Old Dominion’s schedule includes home and away games against Coastal Carolina, Marshall, App State, Georgia State, James Madison and Georgia Southern, as well as singles games against South Alabama, Southern Miss, ULM, Texas State, Troy and Arkansas State.
The Monarchs host South Alabama in their conference opener on Dec. 29 before hitting the road for two games at Southern Miss on Jan. 1 and ULM on Jan. 4. ODU then returns to Chartway Arena for a four-game home stretch, while Coastal Carolina (Jan. 8), Marshall (Jan. 11), App State (Jan. 15) and Texas State (Jan. 18) all travel to Norfolk. The Monarchs then play at App State on Jan. 23 and Georgia State on Jan. 25 before closing out the month on their home court against Georgia State on Jan. 29.
James Madison comes to town on Feb. 1 before Old Dominion travels to Alabama to face Troy on Feb. 5. The second leg of this year’s MAC-Sun Belt Challenge is set for Feb. 8, with the Sun Belt schools hosting a MAC opponent determined by the RPI rankings.
Old Dominion travels to the Mountain State on Feb. 13 to play an away game at Marshall. They will then stop in Harrisonburg on the way back to face JMU on Feb. 15. The Monarchs will then be back on their home court to host Arkansas State on Feb. 20 and Georgia Southern on Feb. 22 before closing out the regular season at Coastal Carolina on Feb. 26 and Georgia Southern on Feb. 28.
The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship will again be played at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida, from March 4-10. The winning team will automatically secure the league’s place in the NCAA championship tournament.
The ODU non-conference schedule will be announced shortly.
Season tickets for the 2024-25 season will go on sale August 28. Existing season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to renew their seats for this season and can make their decision by October 2. ODU Athletics will provide information on the full schedule, pricing and process prior to the 28th. New season tickets will also be available at select locations beginning on the 28th. Mini-plans and single-game tickets will go on sale later in October.
