Summit Global Investments rings the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange

BOUNTIFUL, Utah, 27 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Summit Global Investments (SGI) celebrates the SGI US Large Cap Core ETF (SGLC) hits 90 million US dollars of assets under management. To celebrate this milestone, SGI will ring the closing bell on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today.

SGLC is an actively managed, semi-transparent ETF. Unlike a traditional ETF, trading and portfolio decisions are not disclosed on a daily basis. At SGI, we believe this protects our strategy while reducing the ability of other traders to engage in practices that could harm the fund and its shareholders.

This ETF is different from traditional ETFs. Traditional ETFs provide daily information about their assets to the public. This ETF does not. This can create additional risks for your investment. For example, you may have to pay more money to trade ETF shares. This ETF provides less information to traders, who tend to charge more for transactions when they have less information. The price you pay to buy ETF shares on an exchange may not reflect the value of the ETF’s portfolio. The same is true when you sell shares. These price differences may be greater with this ETF compared to other ETFs because this ETF provides less information to traders. These additional risks may be even greater during poor or uncertain market conditions. The fund publishes a daily “proxy portfolio” on its website designed to facilitate trading in ETF shares. Although the proxy portfolio contains some of the ETF’s holdings, it is not the ETF’s actual portfolio. The differences between this ETF and other ETFs can also have advantages. By keeping certain information about an ETF portfolio secret, that ETF may be less at risk of other traders being able to predict or copy its investment strategy. This may enhance the ETF’s performance. However, if other traders are able to copy or predict an ETF’s investment strategy, this may harm the ETF’s performance. Please see the prospectus for more information about the special features and risks of this ETF.

“We are pleased with the steady growth of this fund and its continued acceptance by investors,” said Dave Harden, President and CEO of Summit Global Investments. “Like all of the products we offer, SGLC is based on our proprietary Managed Risk Approach™.”

The SGI Large Cap Core ETF seeks out stocks that SGI believes exhibit a range of attractive qualitative and quantitative factors to achieve the goal of long-term value appreciation. As part of SGI’s Managed Risk Approach™, SGI continually reviews the idiosyncratic risks associated with each stock and may sell when we deem those risks too high or when the risk/return characteristics deteriorate.

“We believe that SGLC, as a core holding in a comprehensive investment strategy, can help investors build market presence – with potential downside risk management,” said Harden. “SGLC is one product in our suite of solutions that helps investors achieve their goals.”

Investors should carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses before investing. A prospectus or summary prospectus containing this and other information about the Fund may be obtained by calling (888) 251-4847 or visiting our website at sgiam.com. Please read the prospectus or summary prospectus carefully before investing.

Investments involve risks, including possible loss of investment principal. The Fund is a newly formed diversified investment company with no operating experience. The objective of the Proxy Portfolio is to closely replicate the daily performance of the Actual Portfolio under all market conditions and to minimize intraday misalignment between the performance of the Proxy Portfolio and the performance of the Actual Portfolio. The Proxy Portfolio is designed to reflect the economic risks and risk characteristics of the Actual Portfolio on each trading day. Securities traded in over-the-counter (“OTC”) markets are not listed or traded on an organized exchange such as the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”). Generally, the trading volume of unlisted or over-the-counter common stocks is less than the trading volume of publicly traded stocks. As a result, the market liquidity of some stocks in which the Fund invests may not be as great as that of publicly traded stocks, and if the Fund were to dispose of such stocks, it may need to offer the stocks at a discount to recent prices or sell the stocks in small quantities over an extended period of time. In addition, penny stocks and pink sheet stocks may be classified as OTC stocks. Securities that are convertible into common stock, such as certain securities and preferred stocks, are subject to the usual risks associated with fixed income investments, such as interest rate risk and credit risk.

The SGI Dynamic Tactical ETF is distributed by Quasar Distributors, LLC.
