Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Surrounding Areas

This weekend, from late Friday night, August 23, to early Monday morning, August 26, a three-stop service is planned for the 4 line. There will be no service at platforms 4/5 at Borough Hall, as 4 line service to and from Brooklyn is suspended, and the 5 line does not serve Brooklyn on weekends. The 2 and 3 lines should operate normally, and for those traveling to and from Brooklyn, the 3 line will serve all stops from Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College to New Lots Avenue that are normally only served by the 4 line. All other trains serving local stations should operate normally.

During the following work week, Monday, August 26, through Friday, August 30, there will be no service on the 3 train from late at night until the early morning hours. For service to or from Manhattan and to or from Franklin Avenue, 2 trains should normally run. 4 trains will make 3 stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and New Lots Avenue.

These are the PLANNED changes affecting commuter rail service for this weekend and the following week. Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect commuter rail service or service on other routes of your trip, or for planned service changes affecting stations you are traveling to or from.
