Through our joint efforts with the Coconut Creek Police Department To keep residents informed, this is a summary of crime and arrests in Coconut Creek by 5 August 2024.
theft
Sephora was the victim of a theft – Shoplifting at the store located at 4455 Lyons Road was reported on 07/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,126.
On 08/01/2024, a car theft was reported at Casa Palma on N State Road 7. The total estimated damage was $420.
A victim of a theft from a motor vehicle at Publix where the theft of a wallet from a car was reported on 07/31/2024. Total estimated damage was $76.
On 07/30/2024, a victim of a vehicle theft – motorcycle was reported in the Cypress Hammocks Nature Preserve at 5251 W Hillsboro Blvd.
On July 31, 2024, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported in Vista Verde on W Atlantic Blvd. A vehicle window was smashed and ransacked.
On 07/31/2024, a theft – other – was reported at TD Bank at 6700 N State Road 7. Credit card fraud was reported.
On April 8, 2024, a car theft was reported at Bayview on Coral Tree Circle. A Honda CRV was stolen.
Fox Rent A Car was the victim of a car theft – a car theft at the Hampton Inn, 5740 N State Road 7, was reported on 08/04/2024.
On August 4, 2024, a victim of vehicle theft – a car at Country Lakes on NW 39 Avenue – was reported.
Fraud
U-Haul was the victim of a Fraud – Other at 5431 Johnson Road on 07/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $40,000.
On 07/30/2024, a Scam Victim – Other was reported. The estimated total loss was $10,782. A Bitcoin scam was reported.
On 08/04/2024, a phone/computer fraud case was reported at Elliot South, 3804 Cocoplum Circle. The total estimated loss was $3,945. A man let an unknown person use his phone and $3,945 was transferred to an unknown person.
battery
On July 30, 2024, a victim of assault – simple touch/strike – was reported in Karanda Village VII.
On March 8, 2024, a victim of assault – simple touching/strike – was reported in Hammock Estates.
On 08/04/2024, a victim of assault – simple touch/strike – was reported at Breckenridge II on NW 51 Street.
Animal bite
On August 1, 2024, an animal bite was reported at the Bayview Apartments on Coral Tree Circle. A female dog was bitten by a German Shepherd.
On February 8, 2024, an animal bite victim with injuries was reported at Casa Palma on N State Road 7.
Elder abuse/neglect
On February 8, 2024, a victim of elder abuse/neglect was reported in Wynmoor.
Death
On March 8, 2024, a fatality – Suspect/Unknown – was reported in Wynmoor on Lucaya Lane.
Arrests
Lott, Vanessa Caldeira, 48, was arrested on 07/30/2024 for touching or striking/assault/domestic violence.
Bellitto, Andrea Joy, 73, was arrested on February 8, 2024 on charges of contempt of court and violating restraining order at 2602 Nassau Bend.
Thomas Antonio Shenard, 34, was arrested on August 3, 2024 at 4300 Coconut Creek Parkway for driving without a license.
